Hi,

Your best bet is to contact HP and have them send you the appropriate
recovery media disks for your system. This they will do for a nominal fee.

You can't do a startup repair unless you have the operating system
installed. You don't!

As per your supplied info, your partition is bare (empty).

You have to start over and reinstall the O/S or perform a recovery using the
manufacturers recommended methodology.

If you didn't destroy the original partitioning and boot options by trying
to reformat you would recover the OS and software using the built in
recovery partition (D.

If the computer could still boot to the original OS then all you had to do
was go to the HP tools folder and start the Recovery from the program icon
there. If the computer cannot boot to Windows, accessing your system
recovery would be something like press [F10] during boot-up sequence to
start the recovery installer from D: drive (it has its own OS). Then there
are usually 2 choices, non-destructive recovery which does not wipe out the
harddrive contents and destructive recovery which reformats the drive and
puts the OS/software back to factory installed condition.

Get outta your chair and hand the keyboard over to someone who has a
clue.

In the Spanish language groups we say, "¡No le des de comer al troll!" You
can probably figure out what this means...
