There are some major differences between 32 and 64 Bit, but these
deifferences are "under the hood", so to speak. There is no difference
visually.
Some of the best features of Vista x64 are that all drivers must be
certified and digitally signed. This helps to maintain system stability
and that you can use more than 4GB memory.
Just make sure that none of your applications are 16-Bit (or use 16-Bit
installers). Vista x64 DOES NOT support 16-Bit applications, wheras
Vista 32 does.
