Hi, this is my first post. I don't know if it is just my settings on my PC, I
have Windows Vista 64 Ultimate v6.0 Build 6000 US version, but the last few
times after dong an auto download and install of the updates at 3:00am it
reboots to apply them. Now I don't have a problem with that. That is what I
would like it to do. But the last time it did this, I had some applications
open that I wanted to finish up the next day. Now I always preach to people
to save your work before leaving you PC for any length of time. And I always
practice what I preach. It was just that the next day, after the system
rebooted without prompting permission to reboot, I had to go back and figure
out where I was at the day before. If I remember correctly, XP always asked
before rebooting. And being that Vista almost alwasy asks permission to do
anything else, I would have thought that it would also ask for a reboot first.
Well if this turns out to be an oversight on Microsoft's part, I am glad I
found the error and hope they fix it. If it turns out that my version of
Vista is messed up in some way, I am not going to re-install it again for the
third time to fix another problem. In a way, I kind of like that it is
updated and ready to go when I wake up.
Anyways, thought I would take the time to post what I think could be an error.
