windows vista academic versob

Hi,
this may seem like an unusual question but, it neds to be asked: i just
bought the windows vista home primeum academic verson for my laptop, although
i am a student i want to know if it is any different than the retail verson
in the store.

Costs less!

You need to provide an ID though, I believe...

Yes, you won't be able to upgrade from it to future versions of Windows.
Still, its identical in every way to the retail version.
