I think Kazaa is out of time.

Why on earth would you use that piece of malware?! It's packed with spy- and
adware. Do not install it, there are other, safer file sharing clients to be
found.

(And to answer your question: As far as I know, the company behind Kazaa
stopped developing a good while ago, so I wouldn't count on it to work with
Vista. However, I would count on it to infect your system thoroughly.)

Well Charlie, this is not the OLD Kazaa. This is MyKazaaGold. This
particular version of Kazaa, according to their support people, is ok with
Vista. This Kazaa has incorporated several malware, adware and spyware into
their program. I have used this program for 9 months now. I have every
available spyware, adware, etc. tool available on my computer. I've never
had a problem with Kazaa. No viruses, no adware, etc. I have on the other
hand had plenty of problems with NORTON showing up with registry errors. I
use windows firewall, windows defender, advast antivirus, registry fix and
adaware. I think I'm covered. If you have a different opinion, just let me
know.

Hi again,

Check out McAfees web site advisories, here are some links:

Then do a Google search for the kazaa gold scam.

It seems to me your computer is well secured with all the software you've
got. What I said about spyware in my previous post, was related to the
original Kazaa program. I can't say whether this applies to the program
you've got or not (I'm not sure, but I think it is a variant of the free
Kazaa Lite software). Does Norton pop up any warnings about it, or were
those registry key errors you mentioned related to something different?

Thank you so much for the references. The registry problems were related
strictly to Norton. HKEYs and shotcut problems. I've seen the "kazaa gold
scam". I've just had no problems with it at all. I've downloaded over 125
albums. It's been wonderful for me.
