I have windows basic on a Acer Aspire3680 laptop. I get a message that says
"Windows has recoverd fom an unexpected shutdown. A problem caused windows to
stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available"
This happens often. The computer will reboot iself and then I get the
mesage. Is this a software problem with Zista or a hardware problem with Acer

Visit the Acer support web site and look for any new
driver updates, including a possible BIOS update.
If available, download and install them.

I also have the same problem with my Desktop.
It reboots itself at exactly 39 minutes past the hour

I have a problem like that too. I get a message that reads Windows has
recovered from an unexpected shutdown. A problem has caused windows to stop
working correctly. Windows will notify if a solution is available.

I have basic Vista on a Dell 1501

Thanks
