Windows Vista Boot Issue

I have been using Windows Vista Business Edition 32bit for two month
after a fresh install. A few days ago I began to experience seriou
performance issues during bootup; it began to take a lot more time t
boot up than it was before. What I did was to manually configur
Kaspersky AV 6.0 and ATI CCC 9.3 to start with administrator privilege
during system boot. It was all okay then but when I removed the ATI CC
entry from the startup programs list in Windows Defender I began t
experience serious problems about boot up times. I tried uninstallin
both the AV and the ATI software but that was of no use. Additionally
have to wait all the startup programs to launch before I can initiate
task which requires administrator privileges. Otherwise no prompt bo
displaying allow deny appears even I have clicked on the progra
executable. Thanks very much for help

Sounds like the removal really messed things up. See if articles like
this help any. http://www.tweakguides.com/ATICAT_3.html

It says you need .net V2.0 so you may need to remove, redownload and
reinstall things mentioned in this article and perhaps others.

I had an ATI TV card, it's in the basement somewhere because the CCC
that came with it was about worthless but I would hope they have
improved things by now. Keep checking back here in case someone
recognizes the exact problem. Good luck.
