Hi All

I received Vista Business (OEM) as standard with my laptop. I would like to
upgrade to Windows 7 but am unsure if the home, professional editions allow
an upgrade path from Vista Business.

Would appreciate if anyone could please clarify this for me. I'm in the UK
<in case that matters>

Thanks in advance.

Cheers, H

It doesn't.

You have Windows Vista (32 or 64-bit)?
You can upgrade to any of these editions of Windows 7: Professional,
Enterprise, Ultimate
(In the same architecture.)

You can do an In-Place Upgrade to Win7 Pro or Ultimate (or Enterprise) or a
"custom (advanced) install" of Win7 Home Premium. See this simplified
Upgrade Path chart:

Windows Update has nothing to to with upgrading Windows. Please post any
future questions about upgrading in this forum:
