Windows Vista Calendar does not work!!

Does anyone know how to fix the problem with the windows calendar?
I keep getting a pop-up saying,

"windows calendar has stopped working, would you like windows to get a
solution online or close the program?"

It does this everytine i start my laptop.

I have windows vista basic home edition.

You need the hotfix discussed here

Error message when you restart a Windows Vista-based computer: "Windows
Calendar has stopped working"

This thread discusses the ways you can get hold of the hotfix. Look for the
solution suggested by MICHAEL.
