Windows Vista error 8024002D for MS works 8.0

I have been running my updates for Vista and I was trying to install the new
update for MS works 8.0. When it asks for the cd of MS works 8.0 I put it in
my computer and press Ok. ...... Nothing happens. It keeps asking for the
disk eventhough it is in the computer? Does anyone know how to fix this?

This worked for me, I also do not have the DVD for Word 8... Good luck, just
follow the prompts...Make sure you use 'en' english...

someone here should talk to microsoft because i tried to update this from WU
to 12 computers and it will not install. On all of them and they are a
combination of xp and vista- they are asking for a CD and even if you insert
the CD it comes up saying it is not the correct one.
The only way I could install it was by using the web site that kcazzie gave
out

I have the same problem. I downloaded KB955428_en-US.msp, but didn't get any
prompts to follow. I don't know if the patch installed or not, but I do know
that the Update still fails. I'd appreciate any help on this. I have Vista
and Office 2007.

Because I have a spanish Vista OS I selected the spanish file and It worked
