Windows vista on External Hard disk

is it possible to install windows vista on External Hard disk?

No. I believe there may be some kludges around that allegedly work but in
the main the answer is no.

Theoretically you can boot from any device that your BIOS allows in th
boot sequence. A USB attached disk, however, will not qualify. Som
people suggest that an eSata attached disk will do the trick. I hav
never tried that because I have no eSata cpability. But maybe someon
has tried and can chyme in

No it is not possible. It could be done in Windows XP with some hacking but
that no longer works.
