I've actually turned off the drive all together after running the install in
Windows to attempt to see if that was the problem. Normally in windows, if
the drive or install disc isn't there, it should come up with a boot menu of
sorts but for some reason it just reset without any other notice. I'll see if
I can rig some sort of IDE connection to an internal unit tonight. I don't
have one in the PC itself due to a problem with the power supply sticks into
the space where my CD/DVD drives should sit.
