I have tried everything, Spyware. virus scans, run diagnostics, got a trouble
report, went to Download, got the patch and I'm still freezing. It seems to
happen when I'm playing a game but I've also been on internet and froze. No
options, no resposes, have to shut off with button. The only other thing I
haven't seen is my Monitor turns into strips of the colors on it when it
froze. I downloaded the patches in previous posting and the response came
back that they don't apply to my computer. Help!

Have you tried updating your video card driver?

Glenda, you mentioned playing video games when it froze. Do you have DEP
(Data Execution Prevention) turned on for essential windows services, do you
have DEP turned on in internet options advanced setting ("enable memory
protection to help mitigate against online attacks") Apparently if you have
DEP on for internet explorer and play online video games which I think you
mentioned, DEP is known to rapidly close window down. Not sure if this
helps. Regards, Wally

Thanks for fast reply. This is a brand new E521 that I have only had for 60
days. I did check about the DEP setting and it is off. Also, should I update
the video card driver on a brand new PC? I don't play on line, I play from
installed, mostly ZUMA.
The only other software I have loaded is Microsoft Office 2007.
Still stuck,
Glenda
