Just wondering; I've just added a 2 GB RAM stick to my system. Is that the
cause of the colour change to my desktop? Task bar is now a silver/grey, not
black as before. Not to mention I've never noticed my close, minimize, and
maximize buttons to be "glowing" until now. I have also added the "GoLive2
Stix" recently as well, although I'm not sure that's what caused the change.
I've never heard of any automatic changes to Vista by upgrading.... is this
the cause?

Hi,

Adding a stick of ram would not cause changes to the desktop. The cause lies
elsewhere, likely some software capable of modifying the windows shell.

No, it's not the cause of any of this. Look elsewhere for the reason.
