windows vista home premiun trouble....

hello, my wife accidentely shut down my laptop while windows updating at the
end of a session,ever since i can't get it to work... what do i do ? help me
please...

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the
computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista

Ignore the title of the KB article, Method 1 or Method 2 may be appropriate.

Method 1: Start Windows Vista by using the Windows installation media, and
then select the "Repair your computer" option
Method 2: Start the computer in safe mode, and then use the Repair or System
Restore feature
