Windows Vista Layout Preview Pane not showing documents

In Windows Explorer, the Layout Preview Pane will not preview any documents
i.e. Word, Excel. It only shows PDF's, .JPGS etc. This computer is using
Office 2003. On my other PCs all documents preview regardless of Office
version.

Any suggestions why preview may not work for Word and Excel Document.

Hi Margy,

This is normal. Office 2003 doesn't implement any preview handlers, whereas
Office 2007 does.

Thanks so much. I have passed on the information. Really appreciate your
reply. I am not a developer, however, I did look at the open the link and
have a look. Not quite there yet - a bit daunting Wow.

Dear Ramesh,
I am using Windows Vista Home Premium X64 and Office 2007. i was able
to see my documents in Preview Pane as i was using Preview handler by
Tim Huer.When i installed Adobe Acrobat pro 9.0. and uninstalled Foxit
PDF Preview Handler by Tim Huer, i have stopped seeing Preview Pane in
Explorer Window.
Please help.
