Can I get any log file on this why this failed somewhere on my machine ?

Thx

It took me six hours of wasted work time today to get my system back to where
it was BEFORE I tried the fixes to make SP 1 install. It's still uninstalled.

I'm just wondering who at corporate HQ said, "Last year we released a
thoroughly screwed up OS. By now, most people have worked through that. So
let's release a thoroughly screwed up SP"

Yes... Vista is a 'work in progress', but it's costing us ordinary people
time and money.

I'M TOO SCARED TO TRY SP1.
