Hello all

I had a valid working copy of Windows Vista 64 bits on an AMD 64 x2 with 2GB
of memory and 4 SATA disks. Last week, after a reboot, Windows started to
cycle to
reboot after the CRCDISK.SYS driver was loaded. after replacing the MoBo,
memory, PSU
and Video Card the prolem still persists. I installed a second copy of
Windows
in a new disk and, from that disk, I was trying to figure out if I can see
the contents of my previous 4 disks and, for my surprise, Disk Manager can
see the
physical disks but can not activate them. Using DISKPART, all the disks are
marked as INVALID. Booting the Windows DVD, none of the previous disks are
seen by the Windows installer. Using Paragon Disk Manager I can see the
disks
and the volumes (a spanned one) but I can not rebuild the volumes. Using a
data recovery program I can recover the contents of the disks but all the
files seems to be encrypted. I guess that I have a problem with BitLock
(which I do not recall to have installed it). Since Windows still can boot
from the boot partition (but hangs after CRCDISK with erro 0x00000007b) what
I can do to load Windows again?

Have you tried using a Knoppix Live CD to recover your Data?

I can try. But, my question remains. Why all tyeh four disks are marked as
Invalid by DISKPART? And why I can read the contents of the NON-spanned
volume using Paragaon Hard Disk Manager?
