Hi,

I have Windows Vista 32bit Ultimate edition, the laptop was working fine
before I shut it down. Now when I power it up, it starts and I see the
Microsoft Corportion logo with the progress bar going, after that the machine
just sitts with black screen. I tried booting with safe mode, Last known
good, Low resolution....and I got the same problem. I have not installed any
thing on the laptop prior to shutting it down. have anyone seen this?

Thanks,

I have tried almost all the options except "Complete PC Restore" and nothing
worked prior to posting my question, so I was hoping if anyone got some new
tricks that I am not aware of...

It sounds a lot like hard drive failure to me. If Complete PC Backup, or
"factory defaults' fail to recover the system, you will have to go to the
maker of your preinstalled system for hard drive replacement.
