windows vista ultimate sp1 update

hi, can anyone help plzz..i keep trying to download sp1 update but keeps
coming up with error code 8024200D and wont download.

I'm spending the weekend Reinstalling EVERYTHING.

Error 0x8024200D has a description of: SUS_E_UH_NEEDANOTHERDOWNLOAD.

It would imply that the full set of files required for installation of SP1
is not downloaded to your computer. Are you using Windows Update to install
SP1? If so, you could try downloading the full SP1 installer and running it
locally instead.

hi, yes it is being offered as an update, even tried downloading it manually
but it doesnt download.

Despite the fact that SP1 is being offered by Windows Update, the error
tells you that your machine's not ready for it.
