Can anyone please tell me if there is a way that I can create a Video file
in Vista Home Premium that is suitable for sending by email and not be a
massive file?

For instance I created a 12 second file using Dell Media Manager and it
turned out to be a whopping 75.1 MB.

Is there some simple solution?

Joe,
Have you tried Windows Vista Movie Maker?

Video size depends more on the compression used than the program used. How
did you output the final file? I haven't used Media Manager, but used to
teach video production and encoded a lot of things using windows media
encoder. Getting a file to the size you want depends on the compression
settings you use when rendering the final file. it's a matter of trial and
error to get a small file that also looks half way decent. You might try
lowering the amount of colors, lowering the resolution/screen size, changing
dithering, frame rate and other settings.

Joe

Import the video file into Windows Movie Maker. From there, you can save it
in a more compressed .wmv file format. See the Movie Maker help for
instructions on importing and publishing.
