Windows won't install updates

Hi everyone, it seems the good old windows update predicament won't fade
away. I've tried all the steps outlined in this article KB 822798, and still
I can not install the windows updates.

This could be due to a missing SensLogn registry key/values.

Please put the part between the two

lines below into a file that you give a .reg file extension.

NB:
The [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\......\Notify\SensLogn] part needs
to be on *one* line, will wrap over to lines in this post.

If you have Windows 2000, and not Windows XP, please remove
the following 3 lines (at the bottom of the listing):

Import the registry file by double clicking on it in Explorer,
and then reboot the computer.

I tried all this stuff and my bits never would startup until I reapplied XP
SP2 and rebooted. Sometimes it's better to try the simple stuff first. Hope
