windows wont play cds

hi for some reason media player wont play cds,gone through the usuall.windows
knows audio disk is there can explore it but wont play comes up with an error
message, 1 of them being cood10b5, among others.it was working ok,please can
someone help this is driving me mad.i can explor the disk on my p.c but cant
play...please contact me on

Although your issue does not pertain to Windows Updates, which is the
name of this newsgroup, try this ...
Open Internet Options in the Control Panel.
Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Security heading towards the bottom.
Put a check next to " Allow active content from CD's to run on My Computer "
Click Apply, OK.

If that doesn't resolve the issue suggest you post to a newsgroup that
deals with the installed OS.
