Before i continue, i must eliminate some possible answers i might see here.

No its not wake up on lan. I have check the properties of my network adpater
and the wake on lan isnt check. Plus i have disconnected my Modem and Router
completly from my Pc to and it still woke up.

Its not mouse vibrations either, i have disconnected the mouse also and it
still woke up.

Its nothing stupid like cat / gremlins walking on my keyboard.

There is genuienly something wrong whit vista, my computer or whatever may
be waking up my computer.
Im running out of options, i need help bad.

Hi Dimitri,

When "wake on lan" or "wake on ring" are referred to, it is settings in the
system BIOS, not in the properties of the device. If you haven't checked
these yet, you may want to.

A common cause of a system coming out of sleep mode unexpectedly is a
scheduled task such as an antivirus or antispyware scan or automatic update
that runs at an early morning hour.

I thought I had eliminated the possibility of unintentional keyboard
touches. I looked everywhere else. In the end, I found that on my lenovo
v100, the lid does hit the keyboard when pressure is applied to the lid -
i.e. it wakes up when I put the computer in my backpack. Very annoying. I
haven't found a way to turn off the wake-upon-keyboard-press function. THere
probably isn't any way to turn that off.

I have sit and watched closely when the computer wakes up. Nothing happens
when it does, nothing scanning, updating or anything lan related as far as i
know.

I also checked my bios power managment setup and i actualy didnt find
anything about waking up my computer there. By that i mean there wasnt any
options about wake on lan.
