You got what you paid for: You purchased a Chinese-language version of
WinXP. If you want to be running an English-language version, you'll have
to format & do a clean install of a full, retail English-language version of
WinXP.
PS: We deal with Windows Update (as in
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com)
here, not upgrading Windows.
