My recommendation: always get your hardware drivers from the hardware
manufacturer.
From your very post - Microsoft did not manufacturer the hardware in
question.

Hello there,

Good to hear it failed, you might have probably ended up with a blue screen
if it did install.

Never take drivers from windows update unless they are intended for
Microsoft hardware.

If an updated driver is needed ecause the hardware does not work proper go
to the manufacturers website to look for an updatede driver.

If it ain't broke: do not try to"FIX" it.
