windows xp home edition sp2 problems

The installation of windows service pack 2 go's through most of the process,
then stops and says (cannot read from or write to device) I bought Norton 360
and cannot use it untill I get my computer updated! Can someone tell me why???

Either disable all security software [except firewall] or use a clean boot
before installing a service pack.

Your issue may be related to a problem with registry and/or file permissions.

The following *MAY* work [use at your own risk]:

secedit /configure /cfg “%systemroot%\security\templates\setup security.inf�
/db waisaw.sdb /verbose

Are you currently running WinXP or WinXP SP1?
