The last Windows XP automatic update for my computer was Jan. 13. This seems
too long ago. Should there have been a more recent one for my computer?

I have downloaded manually some Malicious Ware downloads from Windows and
some other updates even though Windows said there was no critical updates
needed. But these downloads don't show up of my download history.

With the Conflicker virus out there, I am curious about this. Does this mean
I have a problem with my ability to do automatic updates and downloads from
Windows Update?

Microsoft releases patches/updates on the second
Tuesday of each month, which would be Feb. 11th.

There are rare exceptions called "Out Of Band" updates,
of which there was one not too long ago.

No WinXP-specific security updates have been released since 13 Jan-09.

New updates will be released on 10 Feb-09; cf.
