Windows xp login history?

Is there a log of when users logon, is it hidden somewhere in the windows
files?

This would be better asked in an XP group, not a Vista group.

You can audit login events in the security event log on Windows XP Pro and
Vista if you wish to do so.
Just turn on the auditing if you wish in the either local security policy or
via group policy for that target machines.
