Windows XP OEM Upgrade to Vista

Hi,

I'm building a new machine at the moment and plan to install an OEM version
of either XP home or XP professional. Does anyone know if I'll be able to
upgrade to Vista Premium from an OEM version of XP, or will it only work from
a standard copy of XP?

Should I wait until January and just but an OEM version of Vista? Will OEM
copies of Vista be available?

I don't think there's an officially released answer but I understand that,
in the past, upgrading from OEM to a new OS was frowned upon though often
overlooked pre-WGA/Activation.

OEM just some versions Vista will be available, expect the price to be high
at first.
