Can someone tell me where the XP Pro firewall is so that
I can see if it is turned on or off? I am also using
Norton Systemworks 2003 with their firewall enabled. I
was getting my computer ready for xpsp2 and somewhere I
ran a prgram that had 3 steps. #1 said I had all critical
updates and windows update was on automatic. #2 said
Windows firewall was on and #3 was waiting for Norton to
update their system before xpsp2 (which Norton said they
would be doing on Aug 10th). I am not sure if I now have
2 firewalls on or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Open up your network connections.

look for your Internet Connection
Look at Properties - Right Click on the Network Connection
Click on the Advanced Tab - Check if Firewall is activated

Thanks for the help. Did as you said, but when I clicked
the advanced tab, I did not find anyhing pertaining to
firewall or the word firewall. Could it be called
something that I am unfamiliar with? I am using Windows
XP Pro.
