I have 4 gig dual channel OCZ Ram on a DFI Moherboard. Beofre I installed SP2
I could right click on my computer and it showed all 4 gig. After SP@ it only
shows 3 gig. The post test reads the 4 gig correctly so it must have
something to do with this SP2 upgrade.

Can anyone give me a trick or treat on how to fix this issue?

I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Edit the boot.ini file to add the /3GB switch to the line starting XP.

mean? I'm not sure where to add this to in the boot.ini file?

Thanks

A description of the 4 GB RAM Tuning feature and the Physical Address
Extension switch.htm can be read in KB article 291988

One possibility (though unlikely) is:

Click Start, Run. In the Run box, type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and
press Enter. Click the "Boot.ini" tab, click the "Advanced Options" button
and make sure that the box, "/MAXMEM=" is unchecked.

Not chcked but I set it back to normal startup. the boot.ini looks fine but
the option to use a differernt one is disabled. Here is more info on the
problem. Seems I'm not the only one having the issue.

Thanks
