after instaling 1/9 updates on my xp pro service pack 2 computer i restarted
the computer. now the computer continually reboots at the loading screen if
it makes it that far. if i leave it on it will continue to reboot over and
over again. i have lost the initial instalation cd over the past few years.
does anyone know how to fix this

The exact same thing happened to me. I loaded the repair utility and rewrote
the boot record and the MBR with no effect.
