Windows XP Professional Update

I have Windows ME running on a Presario 7000. I am trying to upgrade to XP
Professional. The upgrade goes OK until it is time to finish placing all the
files on my hard drive. Then for some unknown reason I get an error that
setup cannot find my hard drive (even though up to now it has established I
have Windows and has already placed some files on my hard drive). Any one
have any ideas on how to fix or get around this?

I suggest that you post this to a more appropriate forum - windowsxp.basic
or windowsxp.newusers would seem to fit the bill.
This forum is for problem with Windows Update (not version upgrades)
