Dear,

I have problem with installing of SP2 for Windows XP Professional X64 Edition.
When I and the update by the Update Site or if I downloaded the update file
SP2, I can not install the SP2. The SP2 is installing, but at the end there
is an error: Access Denied.

Whay cant I install the SP2 on Windows XP Professional X64 Edition? Why
sistem does not let the SP2 to be installed?

Thank you.

Kind regards.

Why did than MS releas the SP2 for Windows XP Professional X64 Edition on
3.13.2007? My Windows XP Professional X64 Edition does not have installed
SP2, but Service Pack 1. I checked the System Properties.

I can not install:
- Service Pack 2 for Windows XP Professional, x64 Edition
Download size: 0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install)
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) is a cumulative service
pack that includes the latest updates and provides enhancements to security
and stability. This service pack is available for Windows XP Professional,
x64 Edition. After you install this item, you may have to restart your
computer.

When installing from the Update Site: I get this error:
-Error Code: 0x80070005
Try to install the update again, or request help from one of the following
resources.
When installing downloaded file update SP2:
-Install ends before the end and Error: Access is denied.
-Service Pack 2 installation did not complete. Select "OK" to undo the
changes that have been made.
-Service Pack 2 installation did not complete. Windows XP Version 2003 has
been partially updated and may not work properly.
-After that I deletes the SP2 files and copies back the Backuped files.
-Then automatic restart of Windows.

I realy dont know why it blocks the updates.

I also cannot install the update (the same error - Access is denied) :
- Remote Desktop Connection (Terminal Services Client 6.0) for Windows XP
x64 Edition (KB925876)
Date last published: 1/29/2007
This version of Remote Desktop Connection (Terminal Services Client 6.0) can
be installed on client computers running Windows XP x64 Edition. It can be
used to connect to terminal servers or remote desktops running earlier
versions of Windows, but the new features are available only when the remote
computer is running Windows Vista or Windows Server Code Name "Longhorn."

Thank you.

Kind regards.

I misread the SP2 part..

Try cleaning your computer of any trojans, malware etc.. remove 3rd party
toolbars etc.. then try again..
