Windows XP Service Pack 2: Unavailable

I have Windows XP Home Edition on this laptop, and I am trying to get Service
Pack 2. I have Automatic Updates installed and in automatic mode, but
whenever it updates, it never gives me the option to get Service Pack 2.
Also, whenever I go to the website and have it check for updates (I've tried
Express and Custom), that green bar will keep going, but will never finish
checking. May someone help me with the problem, or tell me another way to
get Service Pack 2? Thanks in advance.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is not available to install from Windows Update
and is not offered by Automatic Updates
