When i try to install Windows XP service pack 3, half way through
installation i get an "access denied" errror which then stops the
installations "reverts" the system back to how it was before the
installation, and tells me to try again. I try again and i get the same
problem. Now i'm happy to not install it though iw ould like to, but the more
pressing issue is that for some reason my video card can no longer do any
advanced graphics, such as games, movies, etc. The screen flashes and then
eventually the system just locks up and i need to manually restart. Does
anyone know how to fix the install probelm or at the least get my system the
way it was before i tried to install the first time? Thanks for any help.

Hey okay i'm going to assume some registry values are messed up then because
i have tried installing with all 3rd party apps disabled (including
anti-virus, firewall, anti-spyware, etc).

So i go to download the Subinacl.exe file from method 3 part 1, and i
donwload it fine but when i try to install it i get an error saying "The
Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are
running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly
installed. Contact you support personnel for assistance."

I am not using safe mode, as to the best of my knowledge the Windows
Installer Service works just fine. Any sugestions? Thanks

Avail yourself of the free support option, please.

Thats the whole point of this place is it not? If you have nothing good to
say don't say anything and maybe someone more useful will come along.
