windows xp sp2 64bit update problem

HI
I havent been able to update my window for about a year now. Moved to town
and comunications company only installed my adsl line now. Problem is my
windows xp 64 bit wont update at all. Keep getting a 0x8009200d error and
cant find any ref. to this error anywhere. I have been at this for a couple
of days now. I also noticed downloading files are being corrupted. Scaned
with avg and with norton on a friends computer and no virus detected. Have
run window personal care and ad-aware with no result.
Any solutions.
