windows xp sp2 automatic update

my automatic update symbol shows up in bottom right corner when on net. It is
set to automatic download.
WHY wont it download updates? just sits on 0% for ever and ever.

I do EXACTLY have the same problem as you do!

Have you found out any solution?

I have searched and searched around in these newsgroups, but I can't find
any solution about this problem...

The yellow Microsoft Update sign shows up and tells me, that it is
downloading updates, but it keep standing on 0% forever!!!

Suddenly it gives up and disappears untill next time I start up Windows and
is on the net.
