Windows XP SP2 update/now Internet Explorer browser will not open.

After installing Windows XP SP2 update the Internet Explorer browser will not
open....all I get is the "page cannot be displayed/cannot find server"
message. Other browsers that I have downloaded on my computer seem to be
working just fine (such as Netscape) but I prefer to use IE and would like to
get it up an working properly again. Thanks.
