Windows XP SP2 Update Problem

HELP!!
I have installed WinXP SP2 and now my computer takes between 10 and 15
minutes to boot up. When I click on the start menu button, the menu pops up
and then the screen freezes. I cannot access any programs in the start menu
listing. I can start the computer in Safe mode, but cannot uninstall XP SP2.
I want to completely uninstall SP2 and return my computer to the way it was
before the update. Prior to installation, I ran Ad-Aware, Spybot, and Norton
Antivirus to make sure that my PC was clean.

Any help will be appreciated.

use system restore to a point before you installed SP2.
if you haven't changed any of the settings, windows would've auto-set a
point just before the installation.
