Windows XP SP2 update trouble since downloading

I have had nothing but problems since I downloaded the SP2. I can't even
check my downloads on windows or download an update to Zonelabs Pro 6, even
though people are having problems with that as well.

I want to know why I can't even download or check my updates downloaded.
Plus some of the online pdf files are not downloadable since getting the SP2.

What is up with that? Can anybody tell me what to do.

I can feel your pain. I have been learning thru research, reading and
understanding as problem arises. SP2 tries to shore up defenses, and
patch up the known vulnerabilities of Windows OS. You have to learn how
the system works and how to properly set it. Go to Microsoft Support Website
and search for issue you're having problems with. I've been doing it since
1997 and I am still learning. But you can do it, have the patience.
I also tried some other website as secondary source, one is Castlecops.com
and the latest one I found was at www.theeldergeek.com. Or you keep on
reading the postings that may have the same problem and check whether
the recomminedations solve the issue. Goodluck!

To: Tiggs63: I have nothing but problems with SP2 since it came out, I have
had to reformat my computer 3 time after installing it, have a Dell desktop
4400 that will not work with this update. The only thing I can suggest it to
remove the SP2 program and not allow it to be installed any longer. I've
heard more people have had major problems with this, if you have a current
virus protection and spyware installed you should be ok until SP3 comes out,
I'm told it is for people who have had problems with SP2, also Microsoft has
an AntiSpyware available for download for MSN users. Good Luck, Gilbert
