I have been in contact with MS update over the phone for three days now to
resolve Error number: 0x8DDD0004 that I receive when I try and update Windows
XP SP2. We have been through a number of things and have had no luck. My
case number is 1043589525. Can you help me?

You should stick with the MS support until the matter is fixed. Whilst you're waiting for
a solution from MS you may wish to read :-

Error that you see in the upper-right corner when you visit the Windows Update Web site on
a Windows XP-based computer: "[Error number: 0x8DDD0004]"

Have you tried a manual download and installation of SP2
Windows XP Service Pack 2 - download (for single PCs also)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

SP2 CD can be ordered online.

Service Pack 2 for Windows XP Professional, x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003, x64 Editions
Windows Server 2003 R2, x64 Editions, Windows Server 2003 Compute Cluster Edition with
Service Pack 1
Windows Server 2003 Storage Server R2, x64 Editions

TaurArian

Thank you for your help. I have tried all that you have suggested and still
cannot update. The reason I posted here is because I have been through many
things with phone support and it seems like there is no resolve for this
issue. If you have any other suggestions they would be appreciated.

Thanks, Kerry
