Verify the installation of both .NET Frameworks:
NET Framework setup verification tool
http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archi...3/8015158.aspx
If they both show that they can not be verified, nor repaired, nor
removed via their entry in Add/Remove Programs, then run the Automated
cleanup tool for all .NET Frameworks :
Manually download the *needed* .NET Frameworks from either the MS
Download Center or the MS Update Catalog.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/S...displaylang=en
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
[ the MS Update Catalog requires Internet Explorer]
..NET Frameworks are installed when a program or application requires it
to run on.
They are *not* native to XP Home/Pro.
..NET Framework 1 *is* native to Windows Media Center and Tablet PCs.
