As quickly as I download this file, as quickly as the file open and close

What did this file install?

It installs a Registry Key to allow WU to download the latest build of the
XP SP3 Beta to your computer. You can run Windows Update to see if SP3 is
there to download or let Automatic Updates download it for you.

Notice that SP3 is still in Beta and is not yet Final.

Trying to finish the updates;

Looks smiliarly to installing WinLiveMsg
veerrrrrryyyyyyyyyy sloooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww

for a 66MB download and installation

guess in future got to disable anti virus before downloading and installing
MS's updates
