On the Windows Update site there are many types of Windows XP to choose
from. How do you know which one you have, and if you need to download
updates from more than one group?

GROUP #1
Windows XP RTM
Windows XP SP1
Windows XP SP2

GROUP #2
Windows XP Pro RTM
Windows XP Pro SP1
Windows XP Pro SP2

What does RTM stand for?

For SP1 and SP2, does that mean it had SP1/2 when you bought it or that you
updated to SP1/2?

Do you need to download updates in both group 1 and group 2 above?
