Frank, are you receiving the error in this article?

If you're just referring to "not a valid Win32 application", could possibly
mean that the downloads are corrupted.
Suggest you clear out your temporary internet files and try WU again.
If I'm on the wrong track, please post what the error message you are
receiving and what updates you're trying to download.
