I have 2 computers on the network that are programmed to do windows update
everyday. Yesterday, they restarted and one of then doesn't loads Windows in
any way. I am trying to do a Repair installation buy the repair option is not
available in the Setup menu. Is there something I can do that doesn't
involves a clean Windows Installation ?

Back out recent updates until you can use your machine.
You won't be able to continue to get updates until MS fixs this.
December 13 updates broke windows installer and windows updates and 100
hours working on it and 50 on phone woth ms have not resolved it yet.

Open a MS support call, please.

Like yourself, I have also experienced problems with windows loading after
updates, so you are not alone. The other reply was quite helpful.

Do not select "recovery" option, select setup, then later it asks if repair
or fresh install, choose repair.

I tried that but I didn't get the second repair option. I tried doing a
normal re-install and it tells me that there is another installation of
windows.
