Windows XP x64 Edition update problems

Since I downloaded the x64 BETA iso from microsoft.com, I haven't been able
to download the updates for it. I get an error saying: win update has
encountered an error and cannot display the requested page.

What makes you think BETA software is supported with updates?

This Beta software does not have any updates and most likely will not have
any updates.
The closest you may get is a later build if available.

Also you should use the 64 bit newsgroups for this Beta:
