windowsupdate.com hangs

I have a dell with xp home with 512kb of memory. When I try to load the
website in IE6 it hangs...I also try to load Ie7 and it also hangs up after
validation. I tried to validate separately first and then go to
windowsupdate.com, still no luck. Help!
